MCI offers Creations cooking classes—sponsored by Kroger, for all ages and abilities—in our state-of-the-art facility. Every class is a hands-on class—not just a cooking demonstration. Recent offerings took students to Italy and Asia, showed them how to make the most of summer vegetables, get healthy tips, and so much more. All at the Midwest Culinary Institute! Winter 2012

The Masters Series is Back!

Led by Master Chef John Kinsella, these five, four-hour Saturday classes (10 a.m. - 2 p.m. ) are perfect for the adventurous home cook. You’ll gain new techniques and essential culinary skills while learning to prepare delicious new recipes for friends and family. Skill Levels: Intermediate/Advanced, $99 individual classes; $450 for the series. Discounts do not apply to Masters Series classes. 

February 11: Classical French Cooking

Day one will focus on honing culinary techniques while creating a menu of classical French dishes.
February 25: Fish Butchery and Preparation
Todd Kelly, Executive Chef/Food and Beverage Director, Orchid’s at Palm Court; 2011 ACF Chef of the Year
Learn to select, butcher and prepare fish at home from the chef behind one our city’s finest restaurants.
March 10: Just Desserts
Megan Ketover, Pastry Chef, Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza
Join former "Top Chef: Just Desserts" alum for a divine day of baking and more.
March 24: Mystery Basket Challenge!
Alan Neace, Chef, Master Chef Candidate, MCI Faculty
Chef Neace will lead you through the process of creating an entire menu using only what you have on hand and your culinary instincts.
April 14: Let’s Do Dinner
John Kinsella, Master Chef, MCI Faculty
Put it altogether by creating a four-course dinner featuring recipes from the previous 4 classes along with wine pairings. Additional guests for this class only $15.
